York designer Walter Rossi shows that comfortable furniture can also last a
lifetime with his first outdoor collection. His gently curving forged-metal
lounge chair is made of a rusted iron weave inside a brushed iron frame,
which supports the sitter as a hammock would. 'Metal is like marble,' says
Rossi of his minimally sculpted designs. 'People live with it for a long
time. I want them to have something that will make them smile even when
they're not sitting down.'"
